International Patients Support for,
All patients needing medical care in India must obtain a visa; they must do this by going to the Indian consulate in their local city or country. It is up to the embassy to decide whether or not to issue you a visa; however, BGS Gleneagles Global Hospital will help you with the paperwork required for the visa. As part of the visa application, the embassy may request documents such as a proof of address, proof of income to cover medical expenses, insurance contract and treatment plan. There is also a charge for a visa, which the person is responsible for paying. The same steps must be taken to obtain a visa for the caregiver if a patient is traveling with them. Usually, a 6-month visa will be issued by the Indian embassy.
Patients must send the hospital a copy of their passports and the passports of any accompanying individuals. The patient’s medical visa invitation letter will be sent via email to them and the closest Indian embassy once the hospital’s International Patient Care team has received the copies of the passports.
