Open Reduction Internal Fixation in Bangladesh
The surgery known as open reduction internal fixation (ORIF) is used to repair badly damaged bones.
Only severe fractures that cannot be treated with a cast or splint are given this treatment. Displaced, unstable, or joint-related fractures are the most common types of injuries.
Above the split, an incision will be made in the skin. The bone fragments will be relocated to their proper locations. To keep the broken pieces together, a plate with screws, a pin, or a rod that goes through the bone would be connected to the bone. Staples or stitches will be used to seal the incision, which will then be sealed with bandages. A splint or cast will be used to protect the area.
