Dr. Rahul Shetty holds a Certification in Microsurgery from Ethicon, USA. He has more than a decade of experience in his field of expertise. He was awarded Gold Medal in his academic days in 2012 and also a winner of All India Plastic Surgery quiz in 2011, winner of Best Paper Award in 2012. He is a member of All India Association of Plastic Surgeons. He is registered as a Medical Practitioner at Karnataka Medical Council since 2000.
He has experience in cosmetic surgery, burns treatment, and performing surgeries for a wide range of congenital malformations, including cleft lip and palate, acute burns, post-burn deformities, microsurgery, post-malignancy defects, facio-maxillary, limb trauma, and aesthetic surgery. At the Tamil Nadu State Plastic Surgery Conference in Tanjavore in 2012, he received the CS Sunderaj Gold Medal and the Dr Jamal Memorial Rolling Shield for best paper in “Photographic method of wound measurement- simple and easy.” In 2011, he spoke at the Tamil Nadu State Plastic Surgery Conference in KodaiKanal and the APSICON 2011 in Coimbatore.
