Moinoddin is a graduate(MBBS) from Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences Andhra Pradesh in 2007, and he completed his masters in general surgery in 2012 from P E S Institute Of Medical Sciences and Research, Kuppam. He was trained for 2 years in  Bariatric and diabetic surgery under world renowned bariatric surgeon- Dr. Muffazal Lakdawala, in high volume centre in Mumbai. He also had been part of around 1000 bariatric and advance laparoscopic surgeries and revision bariatric surgeries.

After his training in Mumbai, he went Ahmedabad in exclusive bariatric and diabetic center for 3 months training under pioneers of bariatric surgery Dr. Mahendra Narwaria and Dr. Sanjay Patolia. He then flew South Korea and got training for robotic and advance laparoscopic under Dr. Seon Hahn Kim in Korea University. And came back Mumbai for minimal access training at prestigious Saifee Hospital, Mumbai affiliated to Maharashtra university of health sciences.

To learn single incision procedures and metabolic operations from experts he went Taiwan and he was trained in Revisional Bariatric surgery from Dr Bruno dilemmas Belgium.

His main area of interest is metabolic surgery for the treatment of type 2 diabetes in obese patients, as well as other obesity-related disorders such as sleep apnea, dyslipidemia, subclinical hypothyroidism, polycystic ovarian syndrome in infertile women, hypertension, and other cardiovascular diseases. Specialized in all types of laparoscopic operations, both basic and sophisticated.
