Allogenic Bone Marrow Transplant Treatment in Bangladesh
Bone marrow transplantation is the process of transferring stem cells from the patient’s bone marrow or blood into their body. It may be used to boost the immune system or treat diseases of the blood and marrow, including cancer (leukaemia, lymphoma, multiple myeloma), sickle cell anaemia, Myelodysplasia, and more.
Allogenic bone marrow transplantation is a procedure in which a patient receives healthy stem cells to replace those that have been killed by radiation or high-dose chemotherapy. Safe stem cells are obtained from the bone marrow of a related donor that is not the patient’s identical twin or from an unrelated donor in an allogeneic bone marrow transplant.
