Autologous Bone Marrow Transplant Treatment in Bangladesh
An autologous stem cell transplant replaces diseased or damaged bone marrow with healthy blood stem cells from your own body. An autologous bone marrow transplant is similar to an autologous stem cell transplant.
Doctors absorb, or harvest, stem cells that circulate in the bloodstream during autologous transplantation. Peripheral blood stem cells are the name for these cells (PBSCs).
Giving blood is equivalent to harvesting PBSCs. It’s less difficult than extracting cells from a person’s bone marrow, which is done in some allogeneic transplants. It also does not necessitate surgery or general anesthesia.
