Biliopancreatic Diversion Treatment in Bangladesh
Biliopancreatic diversion is a form of bariatric surgery that involves shrinking the stomach and bypassing the majority of the small intestine to reduce food intake and nutrient absorption, resulting in weight loss. To shrink the stomach, a portion of it is removed. The lower portion of the small intestine is then bound directly to this smaller stomach.
As a result, food reaches the stomach and flows straight to the lower portion of the small intestine, bypassing the rest of it. Biliopancreatic diversion with duodenal switch is a variant of this surgery. A different portion of the stomach is eliminated in this variation, allowing the pylorus sphincter to relax.
