Cerebral Aneurysm Cost in Bangladesh
A cerebral aneurysm (also called a brain aneurysm) is a weak or thin spot on a cerebral artery that bulges out and fills with blood. The pressure from a bulging aneurysm may place strain on nerves or brain tissue. It may also burst or rupture, pouring blood into nearby tissue (called a hemorrhage).
The treatment for ruptured cerebral aneurysms, which are normally secured with clips or coils to avoid re-rupture, is well-established. If a patient’s neurological condition is weak at the time of presentation, they may have numerous medical co-morbidities, particularly in the elderly, and the chances of a significant recovery seem slim.
An aneurysm is clipped using a craniotomy, a surgical procedure that allows access to the brain and blood vessels through a hole in the skull. The aneurysm is carefully dissected from the underlying brain tissue once it has been detected. The aneurysm’s neck is then clipped with a small metal clip . Aneurysm clips come in a variety of shapes and sizes, with the size and position of the aneurysm determining which clip to use. The clip’s two “jaws” close around either side of the aneurysm, occluding the aneurysm from the parent blood.
