Discectomy Surgery in Bangladesh
Anywhere in the spine, from the neck to the low back, a discectomy may be performed. The surgeon enters the injured disc through the muscles and bone at the back of the spine.
A lumbar discectomy is a procedure that involves removing a herniated or degenerative disc from the lower spine. To clear the disc rubbing on the nerve, an incision is made posteriorly, via the back muscles. If physical therapy or medication fail to alleviate leg or back pain, or if you have signs of nerve damage, such as weakening or loss of sensation in your legs, a discectomy may be recommended. The procedure may be done in an open or minimally invasive manner.
