Frequency Ablation Surgery in Bangladesh
Electrophysiology Study (EPS) and Radio-Frequency Ablation (RFA) are very common procedures. In the case of arrhythmia, cardiac electrophysiology tests (EPS) are used to monitor heart rhythms (irregular heartbeat). The doctor will use catheters to deliver electric pulses to the patient’s heart, and then use cardiac mapping to record the signals emitted by the heart. If the doctor can pinpoint the cause of the arrhythmia, he or she can treat it with RFA. Using electrical energy to target the tissue, radio-frequency ablation (RFA) kills any cardiac tissue causing irregular beats or disturbances. A special RFA catheter is implanted and used to burn the irregular tissue during this procedure.
