Myeloma Treatment in Bangladesh
Myeloma is a form of blood cancer that affects people of all ages. It affects the blood’s plasma cells. Plasma cells are responsible for producing antibodies and providing immunity to the body; but, when these cells become malignant (cancerous), the disease is known as blood cancer. The development of myeloma impairs the formation and function of healthy red blood cells. Chemotherapy, immunomodulators, radiation therapy, and stem cell transplant are just some of the choices for treating myeloma. To efficiently treat the disease, a combination of one or more treatments is often used.
