Partial Hip Replacement in Bangladesh
The ball of the hip joint is removed and replaced in a partial hip replacement. It is not a replacement for the socket. The most common reason for this surgery is to repair some forms of hip fractures.
A metal stem connects the ceramic or metal ball to the stem. This is referred to as a hip implant. The stem is inserted into the thighbone’s nucleus (femur). Either of two methods is used to secure it in the femur:
The bone has been cemented to it.
It’s not cemented. The bone develops into a porous coating on this type of stem.
