Tetralogy of Fallot Surgery in Bangladesh
Tetralogy of Fallot is a rare disorder that is caused by a combination of four congenital heart defects (congenital).
Tetralogy of Fallot is surgically treated. If the baby is tiny or if there are other issues, a temporary operation might be performed first. Full restoration will take place later. A full repair is often the first procedure.
A shunt operation may be performed first in some infants to ensure sufficient blood flow to the lungs. This isn’t open-heart surgery, and the inside of the heart isn’t fixed. A thin tube of synthetic material is normally sewn between a body artery (or the aorta) and the pulmonary artery as a shunt. When a complete repair is completed later, the shunt is closed.
