Dr. Veerendra Sandur is an eminent Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist at Fortis Hospitals, Bannerghatta Road, Bangalore. Dr Sandur was awarded Gold medal for securing first place in DM examination. He has a Fellowship in Hepatology and Liver transplant at Toronto General Hospital, Toronto, Canada, which is one of the top 10 mutiorgan transplant centre in North America.Dr Sandur acquired his specialist training in Gastroenterology (DM) from TN medical College and BYL Nair Hospital, Mumbai.
He was awarded Gold medal for securing first place in DM examination. In order to pursue his interest in Liver Diseases further, he then joined the Fellowship in Hepatology and liver transplant at Toronto General Hospital, Toronto, Canada which is one of the top 10 mutiorgan transplant centre in North America to acquire training in advanced Hepatology and Liver Transplantation.
He was actively involved in clinical work including management of patients in the state-of-art Liver Failure Unit. He acquired intensive training in management of patients before and after liver transplantation. He also did several clinical research works and has been published in International journals of repute. After acquiring his specialized training in Hepatology, he then returned back to India to join and develop the Liver Unit at Fortis Hospital, Bangalore. Dr. Veerendra has several papers, publications, and awards to his credit and member of many professional medical bodies.
