All patients coming to India for Medical treatment should apply for Medical Visa.

There are two categories for Indian Medical Visa,

• Regular Medical Visa

• Medical eVisa (online visa)

Documents required for Indian Medical Visa,

• Passport with minimum 6 months validity and 2 blank pages.

• Recent Passport size photographs

• Proof of residential address /National ID

• Latest Medical Reports from treating Doctor or Hospital.

• Passport copy of the attendant (for the medical attendant visa, Maximum 2)

Indian Medical Attendant Visa

Attendants traveling with patient should apply for Medical Attendant visa. Maximum two can apply for Medical Attendant visa.  Attendants need to apply for a separate visa and will have to go through the same process of visa application as that of the main applicant.

Indian Medical Visa Processing Time

Indian medical visa gets processed between 48 hrs to 96 hrs. If it’s urgent medical visa application, you may receive approval on same day.

Steps for getting Indian Medical Visa

Following are steps required to apply for a medical visa to India:

1. Fill Online visa application form.

2. Print copy of the application after providing all required details

3. Collect all the documents listed above.

4. Visit the nearby India embassy in his/her country with appointment

5. Submit application form along with the documents

6. Once the visa is approved you will receive SMS or Email. Plan your travel dates accordingly.
