Dr. Prasad Patkar is a consultant gynecologist and obstetrician at Vedic Lifecare Hospital, Lagos. He has over 30 years of experience in the field and 10 years of experience in laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery.

Dr. Prasad Patkar Training:
He received training in laparoscopy and hysteroscopy at World Laparoscopy Hospital, India, a renowned training center for laparoscopy. He is also trained in robotic surgery. A graduate of Seth G.S Medical College, Dr. Prasad kicked off his career in medicine at King Edward Memorial Hospital and has since worked at a number of other medical institutions.

Dr. Prasad has special interest in Minimal Access Surgery—Laparoscopy and Hysteroscopy—and also Robotic Surgery. Altogether, he has performed well over 5000 hysterectomy, myomectomy and laparotomy procedures in the past decade. He also has to his credit over 3000 cesarean sections and about 10000 normal deliveries. Surgeries performed by Dr. Prasad include laparoscopic hysterectomy, laparoscopic myomectomy, laparoscopic cystectomy, hysteroscopic resection of fibroids and septum, and laparoscopic sterilization and recanalization.
