Dr. Gurinder Bedi

Dr. Gurinder Bedi has been in Fortis Hospital for over 5 yrs.He brings with him his immense knowledge and experience gathered over the past 20 yrs.He presently works with his colleagues in the FORTIS Centre for Advanced Orthopaedics to provide the most comprehensive and complete care in all Orthopaedic Sub specialities in our city. He himself trained in Delhi premier institute MAMC and then worked in England for 11 yrs before coming back, a few years ago.In UK he has worked in various University Hospitals around Bristol Newcastle region with many a Specialist of international acclaim.Having trained and worked extensively in the NHS,UK he has varied special interest in areas such as Joint replacement both in lower limb and upper limb, Arthroscopy, Foot Ankle surgery and Spine Surgery.He has done advanced fellowship in Knee Replacement (Dr. R. Close), Hip Reconstruction(Dr. M. Maheson/ Dr. S. Jones/ Dr. A. John) and also Foot ankle and Deformity correction(Prof. R. Atkins). In India he has previously worked in MAX hospital, Primus Hospital and Sitaram Bhartiya Hospital. He runs a busy practise in the hospital along with his colleagues and is consistently rated with very high patient satisfaction score. His main practise in our hospital has been Joint replacement especially Knee and Hip, Arthroscopy and Sports injury and Foot problems besides managing Spinal problems. In his practise special focus in Knee replacement surgery, remains on pain management and reduction of blood loss in all surgeries.He is regularly doing minimal incision surgery along with computer navigated surgery and patient specific knee replacement. He organises regular teaching session for the Delhi Orthopaedic Association and is a reviewer for the Indian Journal of Orthopaedics Journal of Clinical Orthopaedics Trauma.He also regularly lectures on many international and national level conferences besides being an AO(Swiss group) trauma trainer.Regularly invited for lectures in DOA/ IOACON/ ISKSAA and other national meetings.
