Dr. Ismail Safa Satoglu
Dr. Ismail Safa Satoglu is a Orthopedics and Traumatology at Izmir, Turkey. He has experience of 16 years as a specialist. He completed his graduation in 1999 from Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine in English and then in 2005, he completed his specialization residency from Dokuz Eylül University Orthopedics and Traumatology.
He also has membership of many associations such as Turkish Orthopedics and Traumatology Association, the Turkish Spine Association and the Turkish Orthopedics and Traumatology Education Commission, Eurospine.
He worked with many prestigious hospitals of Turkey such as till 2006 as Specialist Dr. in Denizli Military Hospital, then for 1 years in İzmir Ege Health Hospital, from 2007 to 2008 with University of Pennsylvania, Childrens Hospital of Philadelphia in Department of Pediatric Orthopedics as Research Fellow. Till 2009 as a Specialist Dr. at Kars State Hospital, then for one years in İzmir Atatürk Training and Research Hospital, Orthopedics and Traumatology Clinic as Specialist Dr. and the one year in same place as Chief Assistant.
Then from 2011 to 2013 he worked as Assist. Assoc. Dr. at İzmir Katip Çelebi University, Faculty of Medicine, Atatürk Training and Research Hospital, Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology. In same position for 5 years he worked at Dokuz Eylul University, Faculty of Medicine, Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology, then in 2017 he he became the Assoc. Dr. at Dokuz Eylul University, Faculty of Medicine, Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology.
He is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon with expertise in orthopaedic trauma, hip preservation, and hand surgery. It includes calcification prostheses for the hip and knee, bone and soft tissue tumours, shoulder injuries, sports injuries, meniscus and cartilage problems, cerebral palsy-related orthopaedic lesions, low back pain, spinal diseases and malformations, spinal fractures and tumours, hip fractures and tumours, clubfoot, flat insoles, foot disease, lower extremity deformity, and leg length asymmetry and shortness.
Prof. Satoglu has continued to publish research articles in national publications, as well as e-posters in international scientific meetings and sessions. He has given oral and poster presentations at national scientific meetings, as well as written book chapters and translated books.
