Dr. Surindher DSA is a MBBS graduate from G R MEDICAL COLLEGE, GWALIOR of 1993 batch, and he has completed his masters in General surgery from same college in 1998. His interest in Plastic and cosmetic surgery took him to one of the best colleges in India, Christian Medical College & Hospital, Vellore in 2001 for his MCh in Plastic Surgery. He returned to Bangalore after completing his MCh (plastic surgery) to begin his practise with Dr.K.S.Shekar, a leading senior plastic surgeon in India.
Dr. Surinder passionately thinks that passing on information and guiding future generations to thrive in their work is the best way to strengthen the fraternity. His tremendous desire to instruct and guide young plastic surgeons and dermatologists led to the creation of this programme. He has been developing and perfecting the treatments he performs throughout the years, as well as instructing junior colleagues in the “Art of Plastic Surgery.”
Dr. Surinder is a part of the “Smile Train” effort in Bangalore, which is run in collaboration with Smile Train Inc. in the United States, and provides free treatment to children with Cleft Lip and Palate. For the same endeavour, he received the “Rotary Young Surgeons Award.” He also developed a new scoring system to aid in the treatment of children with Cleft Lip and Palate, for which he received the APSI’s coveted National Award. He’s also a member of the “Shekar Cleft Foundation.”
He is an active member of Karnataka Medical Council, Indian Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons and Association of Plastic Surgeons of India (APSI).
