Dr. Hakan Gundogan
Dr. Hakan Gundogan is an experienced plastic surgeon of Istanbul, he has around 27 years of experience in this expertise. He was a brilliant student of Ege University Faculty of Medicine, completed his medical graduation in 1994. Dr. Hakan Gundogan was among top 10 doctors of succeed in Medical Specialist Exam (TUS)which make him eligible to research as assistant in the Aesthetic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Clinic of Ege University Faculty of Medicine.
Dr. Gundogan was accepted to a Post-Doctoral Fellowship position in 2000 on a fellowship reserved for only specialist doctors. He was accepted into Baylor College of Medicine (Houston, Texas, USA), one of the world’s most famous medical schools, and spent his last year as an assistant in the Department of Aesthetic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
In 2002, Dr. Hakan Gundogan was accepted into the Craniomaxillofacial Surgery Fellowship programme at Taiwan Chang Gung University, which houses the world’s largest Plastic Surgery Clinic, where only one foreign plastic surgeon is admitted each year and has performed advanced technical operations in the field of face and jaw surgery for a year, including endoscopic breast augmentation and facia reconfiguration.
Dr. Gundogan returned to Turkey and began an Aesthetic Surgery Fellowship with Onur Erol after finishing his Craniomaxillofacial Surgery training at Taiwan Chang Gung University Hospital at the end of 2003.
Turkish Society of Aesthetic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery examinations were successfully completed by Dr. Hakan Gundogan, the first plastic surgeon to pass both written and oral examinations.
Many of these meetings have invited him to speak on his experiences. He is still invited to speak at numerous domestic as well as international scientific meetings.
He has a wealth of expertise and a long list of academic accomplishments, both in Turkey and abroad. Patients appreciate his excellent communication skills and his outstanding surgical achievements.
