Dr. Murat Turegun
Dr. Murat Turegun is an experienced and skillful aesthetic surgeon of Istanbul. He was born in the Turkish city of Ankara in 1983. He attended TED Karabuk College from 1969 to 1979, Istanbul University’s Faculty of Medicine from 1979 to 1983, and Gulhane Military Medical Academy from 1983 to 1989. He completed his specialist studies at the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Gulhane Military Medical Academy between 1988 and 1993. In this department, he became an associate professor in 1999 and a professor in 2005. Between 1997 and 1998, he worked for a year at the Cleveland Clinic Department of Plastic Surgery. Between 2001 until 2009, he worked in Ankara, and since 2009, he has been working in Istanbul.
Since September 2007, he has also been doing surgical procedures in other countries. Dr. Turegun also holds “minor specialised diplomas” in two fields: hand surgery and oral and maxillofacial surgery. Professor Dr. Murat Turegun has authored 81 national and international articles as well as 146 papers. He gave spoke at 44 different conferences and panels. He has 1060 citations and has written 5 book chapters.
Prof. Dr. Murat Turegun specializes in Aesthetic Surgery, Microsurgery, Maxillofacial Surgery, Orthognathic Surgery, Head and Neck Surgery, Cleft Lip and Palate, Burns, Oncological Surgery and Reconstruction, Breast Reconstruction After Mastectomy, Hand Surgery, Laser and Medical Aesthetics, and serves his patients in these areas.
