He completed his schooling from Fen Lisesi in Ankara. Dr. Tugrul obtained his medical graduation studies and also specialization studies of plastic reconstructive and aesthetic surgery from Hacettepe University’s School of Medicine in Ankara, it is a known and prestigious college for medicine in Turkey. 

In 1995, he was qualified as plastic surgeon in Istanbul. Till 2006 Dr. Tugrul was the Head of the Department of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery and Coordinator of Surgical Departments at Başkent University Hospital. Then for 3 years as the Head of the Plastic Surgery Department of the Anadolu (Anatolian) Hospital. In 2008 he started his own private clinic in Istanbul as Maral Klinik.
