Since the time he completed his specialization in aesthetic surgery at Gaziantep University in 2002, Dr. Atik has been working assiduously to enrich the plastic surgery domain. He expanded the existing research with his 110 studies formulating novel treatment techniques and body contouring procedures. All these found a place in national and international journals like the Annals of Plastic Surgery and the Journal of Sciences and Specialties of the Head and Neck. Dr. Atik led teams of surgeons and performed successful operations by applying his new techniques. In 2019, his endeavours were recognized and he received The Best Aesthetic and Plastic Surgeon of the Year award in Turkey in 2019. 

Dr. Bekir Atik has also worked extensively to develop treatments for skin cancer.
