Dr. Metin Kerem was born in 1977 in Ankara, Turkey. In 1995, he began his medical training at Gazi University’s Faculty of Medicine, after graduating from Ankara’s ankaya Milli Piyango High School. He graduated from medical school in 2001 and began his plastic surgery residency in the Department of Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery at Ankara Numune Research and Training Hospital in 2002.

Simultaneously, Dr. Metin Kerem worked as a volunteer surgical assistant in an Ankara, Turkey, private aesthetic surgery clinic. He completed his residency stint in July 2007, after performing thousands of aesthetic, reconstructive, and hand surgery procedures and authoring 15 international articles. He was assigned to rank State Hospital in southeastern Turkey for mandatory governmental service due to Turkish medical law. He created a plastic surgery clinic in the local state hospital and completed a number of noteworthy cases as the first plastic surgeon to work in this area.’
