Dr. Jitendra Kumar Singh

Dr. Jitendra Kumar Singh graduated from the famous Patna Medical College in the year 1975. Later on, he completed his MD – Radiotherapy from the same college in 1980. After this, he trained in Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai. Dr. Jitendra is a cancer specialist in India who ranks among the best.

To back this statement , he was awarded the Padma Shri by the Ex- President Smt. Pratibha Patil in 2012. Dr. Singh joined Mahavir Cancer Sansthan as its Director. During his tenure, it was the second largest cancer hospital in India with a staff comprising of 125 doctors, 18 radiologists and 700 in house staff.

It is reported to have 3,00,000 patients every year with 26,500 new ones added every year. Currently, Dr. Jitendra is the Director at Paras HMRI Hospital, Patna. In addition to practicing medicine he believes in creating an awareness about it in the minds of Indian people.

He has been actively participating in many cancer awareness campaigns alongside famous celebrities like Hema Malini, Shabana Azmi and Shatrughan Sinha. Apart from this, he has published more than 80 articles published in national and international journals.
