Dar es Salaam’s Shree Hindu Mandal Hospital was established in 1919, in response to the needs of the Hindu community at the time. The hospital promotes the Hindu Community and Tanzanians’ social, cultural, religious, educational, and health care needs, regardless of caste, color, or creed, and engages in, promotes, and advances charity and humanitarian activities.
Outpatient services at the hospital are available 24 hours a day, including a three-bed emergency/casualty ward for acute diseases and emergency services, a six-bed critical care unit, radiography, laboratory, and pharmacy. Maternity, medical, surgical, pediatric, and other specialties are served by the sixty-bed inpatient facilities.
Shree Hindu Mandal Hospital currently serves over 500 outpatients every day, with 381 employees including consultants, specialists, resident doctors, competent nursing staff, and paramedics.
