Aga Khan Hospital
About
In Dar es Salaam, the Aga Khan Hospital was founded in 1964. The Hospital was expanded in 2018, transforming it into a world-class healthcare facility. Combining cutting-edge technology with highly experienced human resources, a premier 170-bed teaching, and tertiary care referral hospital was able to provide a much greater level of specialized treatment.
The Aga Khan Hospital in Dar es Salaam seems to be the only hospital in Tanzania to receive Joint Commission International’s (JCI) famous gold standard quality re-accreditation in 2019. The hospital is also ISO 9001 and SADCAS certified, in addition to JCIA re-accreditation. These accreditations are given to facilities that have met stringent requirements such as in-patient safety, clinical care delivery, and overall patient support.
Advanced clinical programs in cardiology, oncology, neurosciences, critical care (including neo-natal critical care), and mother and child health care available at the hospital. Relevant diagnostics, integrated surgical rooms, and a comprehensive accident and emergency department assist all specialties.
