Micro Laryngeal Surgery in Turkey
Microlaryngeal surgery is a minimally invasive procedure used to biopsy or remove abnormal growths, such as granulomas or benign cysts, in the larynx. It is usually performed to correct voice disorders or to diagnose or treat laryngeal cancer.
Microlaryngeal surgery is done via a laryngoscope, a thin lighted tube with a camera at the end that helps the doctor to accurately visualize the area. When the laryngoscope is inserted into the throat through the nose and the lesion is found, the surgeon removes the irregular growth by using tiny surgical instruments which have been threaded to the affected site through the laryngoscope. As this procedure helps the surgeon to conduct the operation with great precision, only the tissue that has been damaged is excised. The surrounding area is left unharmed.
