Cystoscopy Surgery
Cystoscopy is a procedure that helps the doctor to inspect the bladder lining and the tube that takes urine (urethra) out of your body. Inserted into a hollow tube (cystoscope) fitted with lens.
Cystoscopy may be done in a test area, using a local anesthetic jelly to numb the urethra. Or it can be achieved with sedation, as an outpatient treatment. Another option is to have cystoscopy in the hospital during general anesthesia.
The bladder wall should appear smooth, and the size, shape, and location of the bladder should be natural. There should be no impediments. If any tissue appears anomalous, a small sample can be collected with the cystoscope.
