DJ Stenting in Turkey
Ureteral stents are temporarily placed inside the ureter that is the tube that drains urine from the kidney into your bladder. The stent allows drainage around a stone, or after stone surgery, can speed up healing.
A double-J stent is a curving ended ureteral stent that prevents the stent from slipping into the bladder or kidney.
Stents are used in patients with kidney stones, for various reasons. They may be put to help relieve sharp pain from a stone (renal colic) or allow drainage when there is an infection or when a stone prevents a kidney from working properly. Stents are inserted for stones after surgery to allow healing and to ensure swelling does not obstruct urinary drainage.
